So my time in Spain has now officially begun, actually it officially began as of a few days ago. You know that turning point when you finally become comfortable with new people around you (in my case the host family)? When you bond over a certaing topic or event and then everyone just settles into normalcy? It's kind of like one giant, communal, sigh of relief. I love it!
Anyways the weather is absolutely beautiful, although very very HOT. I guess it could be worse though atleast it's not humid. Yesterday my cousin and I went on an excursion to La Catedral or Catheral of Seville. It's the third largest cathedral in the world and the first largest cathedral in gothic style. Although I visited and took a tour of the Cathedral last year, It's always nice to revisit and hear the infomation again. The Cathedral has a tower called la Giralda. It's an impressive 37 (maybe more) floors and we climbed it and came down in under 10 minutes, in the sweltering heat no less. Now normally I would post a captive photo to break up the text a bit however I am currently unable to do so.
As soon as I am able to upload photos I will do a sort of haul post about the things I have purchased since I arrived including makeup, accessories, and clothing. Yay for shopping!
Alright well hopefully the technical malfunctions will be sorted out soon! Until then, Adios Bloggers!

Hola directo de Espana!
Hola chicos y chicas! Que tal? Ok that's enough spanish but I'm super excited to finally be in Spain! The weather is beautiful; The people are friendly and fun; The lifestyle is super chill; And of course, the food is muy deliciosa!It's our second (first official) day on the job and I couldn't be happier. Because this is a marketing internship I get to take part in the advertising aspect of the company. Next week we will be shooting a professional promo video for the program and along the way my cousin and I are in charge of taking photos of the students currently enrolled in the program. By the end of our internship we will also have made our own promotional video. Hopefully I can post it to my blog for the world to see.
As part of the experience the students will have the opportunity to enter various contests and win fabulous prizes. There are three different kinds: a blog contest, a photo contest, and an essay one. Although I'm not sure the interns can enter, my cousin took a fabulous shot of me at the Plaza De Espana that I entered just for kicks.
My cousin introduced me to a wonderful little iPhone app called hipstamatic and it is a picture taking app that basically has vingtagey looking lenses and filters that take great photos as seen above.
Anyways I am super hungry but still have two hours here! AHH oh well I have plenty to do.

Vamonos a Espana!
Hello!! Today's the day! In about five hours, I will be on my way to Seville Spain! Although I have been to Spain before, the excitement has yet to wear off, and why should it? Spain is a country completely different than the United States and I anxiously await the opportunity to experience the Spanish lifestyle once again.
One thing that has always interested me about the Spanish lifestyle is how differently motorcycles and motorcyclists are portrayed there, as opposed to the U.S. While in the U.S. motorcycle riding is above all a hobby, in Spain, motorcycles are prevalent and are in fact the primary form of transportation. Because the majority of the Spanish population rides a motorcycle, there is a strictly enforced law in place which requires all motorcyclists and passengers to wear a helmet; a law that I believe is long overdue in the U.S. On the aesthetic side of the topic, motorcyclists in the U.S. when compared to motorcyclists in Spain have very different styles. While this may seem superficial or stereotypical, in the U.S. motorcyclists are typically macho males, and in Spain, both men and women ride motorcycles, and their style is not one unique to the motorcycle riding community.
Perhaps I'm reading too much into this, but it is something that has always intrigued me.
So I do not pride myself as an efficient, reasonable, rational, are particularly "good" packer. I tend to over-pack and consequently end up packing things I don't end up using. My mentality is simply, "it's better to be prepared," or "just in case." For my month-long journey across the pond, I packed a "reasonable" three suitcases in an attempt to avoid having to do laundry, although I've come to terms with the fact that I will have to do some washing. Nooooooooo
Sadly I must depart but I will be back soon coming to you straight from ESPANA!!!

Summer Fun
Hello again,
Wow I really need to be more consistent with my posts. Anyways, I went to the Nicole Atkins concert at Frankie's Inner-City last night and it was awesome! Despite having to stand around for an extended period of time, resulting in a sore back and calves, I had a really great time. The opening band was perhaps one of the best opening bands I've ever heard. Jack and the Bear are a group from Monroe Michigan. Their music is categorized as singer-songwriter and they are great. They include all the classic makings of a rock band, a bass, lead guitar, lead vocal, back-up vocal, etc., with other instruements, trombone, trumpet, accordion, violin, banjo, to create a truly unique sound. Check out their self-titled EP on iTunes.

After much anticipation, Nicole Atkins and the Black Sea finally came out. They were better than I could have imagined and I was super happy because they played my favorite songs! It was overall a really great night and I expect to hear great things about both bands.
In just one more day I will be making a trip to Spain with my cousin. I am excited for the trip although packing and preparing for a lengthy journey abroad is never fun. I like to consider myself more of a last-minute packer although my mother made sure I started a whole week in advance this time around. My cousin and I will be taking part in a student marketing internship in Seville and I anticipate this to be a very good experience for both of us. Hopefully we can take some time to go visit family as well.
Yes I will try my hardest to post more regularly! Everyone continue to have a wonderful, relaxing summer!
